INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT FOR NIDO STUDENT. Completed
A Designer at Heart is in charge of the design of communal areas for a student accommodation in Lisbon, Portugal
Our double-sided banquette seating with see-through slats divider has been developed here following the main concept: the wave cut slats became the showstopper on the Reception Area. Providing extra seating area,and task feature lighting for flexibility of use. Facilities include back of house (BOH), communal toilets, open study lounge on the Ground Floor and gym and yoga room, cinema room, private dining room, private study room, a meeting room and laundry on the lower ground floor.
Nido Campo Pequeno was developed to bring a new kind of living experience to Lisbon offering over 800 sqm of shared social and study spaces, and the best student experience. For the Concept we took inspiration from the traditianal city vibes; due to the site proximity to the sea we tryied to recall the waves flow, the ocean gradient and the soft sand touch on the lower ground floor finish. Unlike other projects, our main goal during the design process here was to preserve cozy and relaxing corners within the massive communal areas; we used colour blocking to define areas and different seating arrangements and types of furniture to add variety.
