The innovative colourful timber floor: discover Xilo1934 Mix
Today I’m going to show you a coloured timber floor that I recently discovered and already dream about. I haven’t had occasions to use it yet but it surely looks pretty unique.
This parquet flooring is called Mix by Xilo1934. Thanks to the subtle colour gradation, it brings colour into the room in a delicate way. It’s a mix of 4 colours which are already proportionate into the box when you receive it, so that there’s a perfect balance between dark and light planks.
This collection has been created for mix & match style lovers. As a matter of fact, one-style homes are gorgeous in picture but not very practical. Your tastes evolve and embracing one style may turn out to be a bad choise… You don’t want to be stuck in a “total-white home” while craving more colour every time you get into Made or Maison Du Monde!
Xilo1934 suggests an alternative approach to colours: its floor brings personality into the space while remaining very flexible. In fact, the colour mixes available can suit many different styles.
Let’s have a look at the proposed mixes:
Warm minimalist is made up of light colours; it’s perfect to warm up spaces where white, grey and linear shapes are predominant, like in offices and corridors.
Country Bohemien gives a joyful and spring-like feeling, thanks to its green and blue tones (which are also quite trendy this year). The rural mood is the perfect setting for artists and creative people’s oasis of peace!
Ethnic Chic is definitely my favourite colour combination; I’m spontaneously attracted by dark colours and I insanely love black (or very dark grey, like in here)… With this colour mix Xilo gives me the opportunity to use such tones in my own timber floor. And that’s already enough to get a soft spot in my heart!
Modern Luxury is a mix of natural timber shades. It gives a more traditional look and it’s great for people who want to dare… But not really!
Natural Fusion provides a warm and welcoming feeling thanks to its greyish-brown shades. I really like the idea of painting the walls with the same taupe of the timber planks to find the perfect match.
Last but not least, Urban Classic shows a metropolitan look by adding a touch of bordeaux. Welcome city boys and girls!
What about you? Have you ever used one of the mixes?
If so, let me know your thoughts. I’m looking forward to discover more!
